The Gallery

Our gallery is situated in a typically Venetian "calle" in the district of Dorsoduro, behind Ca' Rezzonico, house of the Museum of the Venetian 17th century period, between the Frari Church and the Accademia Gallery.

The gallerists

V&A = Vetro & Arte = Glass & Art, was founded in 2000 by Veronika Leibetseder and Alvise Schiavon (= also V&A), as part of their fascination for glass and art.

Alvise was born in England, but moved almost immediately to Venice, the home town of his family. Veronika, born in Vienna, Austria, moved 1998 to Venice.

Their love for art and glassware took form out of their experience in their repective jobs: Alvise as a glass and art dealer, Veronika as an art therapist. This love has evolved in the year 2000 with the formation of their own company and its first enterprise, their own web site, and increased in the summer 2002 with the opening of their own gallery in Venice.
