with clear glass decorated with gold foil while
the ribbons are in blue glass, also decorated with
gold foil, and hot applied. The swans are blown,

Made
with rubin red glass in "balloton" technique,
used to create depressions on the surface of the
glass. With careful handling this depression are
kept in place during the blowing and shaping process,
leaving a geometrical pattern of great effect. The
clear glass used is decorated with gold foil. The
swan is blown, there are no glued parts, all applied
parts are "worked" on the piece itself
with the use of instruments such as scissors and
pincers.

Made
in rubin glass with applied parts in clear glass decorated
with gold foil. The dragons body is in "rigadin
con spirale", the glass is pressed in a mould
that creates the vertical lines you can see on its
body and enveloped with a fine glass spiral. The wings
are "clamped" while the tongue is in red
glass. For the eyes two very small murrhines have
been used.
The cup is applied in an extreme position on the stem,
which can be done only by very skilled glass masters!

Deep
red coloured glass for the base and cup, while the
dragon and all the applied parts are in clear glass
decoreted with pure gold foil. The dragon's body is
in "rigadin con spirale", the glass is pressed
in a mould that creates the vertical lines you can
see on its body and enveloped with a fine glass spiral.
The wings are "clamped" while the tongue
is in red glass. For the eyes two very small murrhines
have been used. On the cup there are two lines in
clear glass and gold foil, in between four small "cherries"
have been imprinted on the sides. The brim of the
cup and of the base has been circled with clear glass
and gold foil, completying the decoration.

The
body and base of this elegant work has been made in
cobalt-blue glass, while the wonderful swan and tryton
are in clear glass decorated with gold foil. The tryton
is made by applying "drops" of hot glass
on the blown body. This drops are then worked by hand
to form all the details of the figure, the fins, mouth,
the eyes made with two tiny murrhines and the tail.
After having accomplished the first part the cup in
cobalt blue glass is blown directly on the prepared
area on top of the tryton. The cup itself becomes
the body of the swan, built around it with successive
applications of clear glass with gold foil.

A
fine example of the "balloton" technique,
used to create depressions on the surface of the glass.
With careful handling this depression are kept in
place during the blowing and shaping process, leaving
a geometrical pattern of great effect. The tryton
figure holding with its tail the cup is made in the
best Murano tradition of hot-glass modelling, all
the applied parts -finns, mouth, tail and eyes- are
"worked" on the piece itself with the use
of instruments such as scissors and pincers. The clear
glass used is decorated with gold foil.
